Women in Stationary Engineering and Power Engineering Careers

My acquaintance Hanna working as a Power Engineer in the electric power generating industry

The other lady I met during training for my second class certificate at N.S.I.T. She's the first female second class Power Engineer in history to have worked for the Nova Scotia Power Commission. They say its a man's world but, she loves it.

As a woman she is given extra encouragement and special incentives to be successful. She's a real novelty and knows it . She also knows if she was working in a traditional woman's career she'd be making peanuts and feel like a foot servant. Working as a Power Engineer , she has serious responsibilities, authority, security, money and all the confidence that goes along with it. The Power Corporation even wrote an exclusive Government wide bulletin about her accomplishments. She's a happy lady.

I just wish she would send some photo of herself and her work place.  Sure would be nice Hanna...
